JUAN CARLOS GAONA
Co-founder
More than 15 years of experience in the leadership of educational projects. Passionate about innovation and focused on technologies for education. Business Administrator with a Master’s Degree in Project Management. Entrepreneurial spirit and excellent team motivator. The promoter of business alliances. He is interested in building and strengthening lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with our clients. He directed social and educational projects with blended models and the implementation of educational platforms for different vulnerable populations in Colombia. The organization won the Country Builders Award in Educational Environments from El Espectador and the European Community with these programs in 2019 and 2022.
ANDERZON MEDINA
Academic Director of the Spanish Program
A Doctor in Linguistics, he has been a language consultant since 1999, helping people communicate across languages and cultures. He also holds a postdoctoral certificate in educational research. In addition, Anderzon has directed the graduate program in foreign language teaching at the University of Los Andes in Venezuela, where he has participated in the training of language teachers. As a language instructor, Anderzon teaches English, Spanish, and French as Foreign Languages (EFL, ELE, FLE). As a teacher of teachers, he is interested in approaching the cultural and discursive aspects of language teaching and learning, showing language instructors the importance of culture in the foreign language classroom.
EVELYN CUEVAS
Operations Director of Globalia Language School
Master’s Degree in Teaching Exact and Natural Sciences from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Bachelor’s Degree in Physics. Emphasis on science education, formative assessment, and neuropsychopedagogy. She coordinates and ensures that the Globalia Language School programs are delivered with the highest quality to our clients, whether they are organizations or final students. Expert in taking care of even the smallest detail. More than 16 years of experience in the educational field. She has been a teacher, developer of curricular designs, and pedagogical formulator of the elementary program and its contents for the virtual school. She also directs the tutoring area at Teaching and Tutoring T&T, a business group company, leading a team of more than 30 teachers.
ALICIA LÓPEZ
Teacher of the Spanish Program
An enthusiastic and organized teacher with two years of experience in the online teaching of Spanish as a Second Language and one year of experience in developing teaching-learning materials for Spanish as a Second Language for both children and adults. She is skilled in creating audiovisual teaching resources and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages from the University of Los Andes in Venezuela. In addition, Alicia is developing a Master’s thesis in Teaching-Learning Foreign Languages about teaching Spanish as a Second Language at the same university. She is committed to acquiring a positive and effective teaching style and is willing to go beyond the call of duty to provide her students with the best learning environment possible.
MARISOL DAZA
Teacher of the Spanish Program
She holds a degree in Spanish Language from the Francisco José de Caldas District University in Bogotá, Colombia. She also has a specialization in Didactics for Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from the Caro y Cuervo Institute. She has more than five years of experience teaching Spanish to students from different nationalities. Her students are constantly motivated by her fun and interactive classes, which are based on the situational approach. Using students’ topics of interest, her didactic strategies allow learners to comprehensively develop communication skills in conversation, reading, and writing. She is an enthusiastic teacher and transmits a lot of energy into her classes, creating a positive educational environment for learning Spanish for non-native speakers.
